The first reviews of New Moon are in, and many aren’t exactly flattering.Early reviews at Rotten Tomatoes give New Moon a 4.9 out of 10 on average, and just 29 percent of Approved Tomatometer Critics rated it positive.
The early consensus from Rotten Tomatoes reads, “The Twilight Saga’s second installment may satisfy hardcore fans of the series, but outsiders are likely to be turned off by its slow pace, relentlessly downcast tone, and excessive length.”
The first reviews are in line with the critics’ first takes.
