If you’re like me and you make your living as a writer, or you sell your products using articles you’ve written about them, you may have discovered that it’s not always the easiest thing to come up with great ideas. Of course, if you don’t write, you won’t get paid, so getting out of that writer’s block is extremely important. Fortunately, there are a few things you can do to break out of your slump.

* Search online and see what other articles exist on the topic. Then write something similar but with your own point of view. Just seeing one other idea can help you come up with loads more. Just be sure not to copy anybody else’s work, but rather use it to come up with your own articles.

* Go to rentacoder, e-lance or other freelance sites and see what other people are asking for. Some people make their requests private and those you will not be able to see, but you can use the public requests to come up with your own ideas.

* Check out what other people are discussing in forums and blogs. Just type your topic with the word ‘forum’ into your preferred search engine and you will find out what it is that people want to know, what questions they have, and what concerns. Make sure to address those in your articles, and you can be sure that people will be interested in them.

* Ask people you know for ideas. Do you know anyone who has a special interest in your niche? If so, they will probably be happy to help. But even if they aren’t interested in the topic, they might give you ideas you haven’t thought about.

* Do you have other fields you are interested in? I am sure you do. Wouldn’t it be much easier to write about them? For example, if your niche is about cooking and you also like writing, you can write an article about how to write a recipe in an original way. Thinking along these lines, you could probably come up with a lot more articles to write.

* This is similar to the previous idea. Just write about something you know about. Even if you are not that interested in the topic, if you know something that others don’t - people will appreciate it and link to your article. How-to articles are very popular so try writing those.

* Make sure to do some reading when you have time. If you read (both online and offline) your vocabulary will get better and you will write better in general. So spend some time on blogs, newspapers, books, and more to help yourself become a better writer.

* Last but not least, in order to increase the exposure of your articles, consider distributing your them using Unique Article Wizard. This won’t help you get new ideas, but it will help you get more out of the ones you do come up with.
