What is great about this is that once you have cleared up your problem, you only have to replace that ceiling tile, and any neighboring ones that may have had a problem as well. This beats having to entirely repaint the ceiling in many cases, and is a lot less work. The only problem might be finding matching tiles if the tiles are old, and also the fact that some discolor with time, and new tiles might stick out once they are set up.
When you buy ceiling tile, think about how much you need, and then buy more. Some break rather easily, and if you are installing them for the first time, you are bound to break a few, or cut some to the wrong size. You also want to have some matching ceiling tile put away in the event that you have to replace some of it, and chances are good that you will have to do just that. Some types can be found no matter what, but once something is discontinued, youll have to redo your entire ceiling in order to have matching tiles.
