Lately, many of us get movie rentals often. Often they wait for the DVD to come out, in lieu of seeing the film at the cinema. Here is a short list of some of most heavily rented DVD’s in Oct. 2008.
INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL: The Indiana Jones adventure continues, after a few years off. This is the fourth movie in the Indiana Jones series. In this movie An older Indiana takes on the Russians. Now, the chase is on for the Crystal Skulls, which are thought to have secret powers.
THE LAZARUS PROJECT: Ex con Ben Garvey is a changed man. With a loving wife and child, and steady work, he has found happiness. Then, he loses his job, and he goes back to his old criminalistic ways. His criminal rebirth is a complete bust, and he will pay with his life. Death by lethal injection awaits. Incredibly, he now finds himself in a psych ward. He now struggles for his sanity, and his soul.
LINEWATCH: Michael Dixon (Cuba Gooding Jr.) is a respected boarder agent in New Mexico, and life seems to be good. Soon his past is about to rear it’s ugly head. A long time ago, he was in the violent L.A. gang scene, before final breaking away. When a chance encounter shows where he lives to his old gang, he finds himself in grave danger. For the sake of his family, he will take a huge risk, and work with the gang to move illegal drugs from Mexico into the U.S.
THE INCREDIBLE HULK: This film tells us the tale of Scientist Dr. Bruce Banner, who has become the Incredible Hulk because of being hit by gamma rays. This feature film is about the marvel universe comic super hero the green Hulk. Key actors include Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth. This film is directed by Louis Leterrier. This movie would be classified as a science fiction film.
DECEPTION: Audiitor for the elite, Jonathan McQuarry has a chance meeting with corporate lawyer Wyatt Bose. This chance meeting is one that turns his life upside down. He is exposed to “The List”, which puts you in front of a steamy sexual pleasures. Unfortunately, he also gets caught up in a world of betrayal, treachery and murder.
JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH: Trying to find his missing brother, professor Trevor Anderson goes on a mission that sends him into the depths of our planet. This is a new version of the original 1959 movie, which was about the brilliant book by celbrated writer Jules Verne. This sci-fi adventure stars Brendan Fraser, and Anita Briem.
THE HAPPENING: Science teacher Elliot Moore, with his wife, and Julian, with his daughter Jess are getting away from the big city. Philadelphia has been thrown into chaos. People have been overwhelmed by an unusual force, and are killing themselves. Can mankind find the solution, or are we approaching the finish of the human race?
IRON MAN: Weapons developer, business mogal, Tony Stark is captured by insurgent fighters in Afghanastan. They try to force him to build missiles for the insurgent group. He was injured when his convoy was attacked, and he has shrapnel lodged in his chest. To overcome his wound, and make his get away, he develops a suit of armor, that makes him super strong. Iron Man is born.
SPEED RACER: A cartoon from the 90’s is now a movie hit. Much like The Flinstones, Speed Racer was a TV cartoon that was turned into a feature film with actors. Speed Racer is a young man who loves racing. His goal is to win The Crucible, a big race that had taken the life of his older brother. Against the odds, and everything at risk, Speed Racer partners up with his enemy of the past, Racer X, in a last ditch effort to give himself a chance to win, and keep his families racing business alive.
An innovative method for getting films is using a movie download. There are places online that have downloads of 1,000’s of movies. This is very useful if you’re trying to build your movie library.
