Melia Las Dunas in my modest opinion is an excellent hotel but you have to read the reviews from other clients who have taken their time in posting their experiences so that you can make the right decision.
the buffet is really not good try to avoid it as many times as you can. You are allowed to book the a la carte restaurants 3 times in a week. The booking is done at the reception of the hotel or by phone…
the food not bad there was a good variety on the buffet reason why we did not bother booking a la carte restaurants which are free as well but you have to go to the reception and book it from there the day before and you are allowed 3 bookings if you stay a week
We complained immediately at the reception of the hotel and in less than hour we were in a new room with all our luggage. The remainder of our stay went on without any problems whatsoever .The food is good, stupendous personnel, impressive beach
Ok, I know I am sounding like a grumpy old man and I apologize if I hurt someone’s feelings.My point is if you don’t like resorts full of kids then do not go to this hotel cause you are going to be running into them every minute.Apart from that everything was nice
we have just arrived from our trip to Cayo Santa Maria in Cuba. We stayed at Melia Las Dunas Cayo Santa Maria. For the Cuban standard the Melia Las Dunas is a formidable hotel. Since the arrival to the resort the attention of the personnel was superb in every moment
We did find though that the room we were given was not very clean I don’t know what happened with whoever was supposed to set the room ready for us but whatever it was he/she did not do a very good job
