Cell phones are a good way to keep in touch with friends and family, but they have a habit of going off at certain times, like when your sleeping, eating, showering etc.
People expecting you to be available all the time may be annoying. Cell phone calls follow you everywhere you go from, work, play, eating and more, there is just no way of getting away from it. Even during nighttime when you want to rest, cell phones continue to ring and annoy you. If it is important, no problem but if it is unimportant, why do you need to be bothered so late.
Today in this modern society, we live in and the domination of cell phones we see people talking anywhere and everywhere. If used for business, this may prove to be very effective and worthy. However, for very menial issues being bothered in your sleep and even during your bathroom time may be quite annoying if not outright disgusting. However, if you make yourself available all the time, you created your own nightmare.
Why did we buy a cell phone? So we could be contacted, and we could contact others. But as good as cell phones are, they can also cause us embarrising moments also. If your at a funeral, or a wedding, or even a business meeting for example, these are times when we seem to forget to turn the phone off, and this leads to others getting annoyed with you, so in these situations it is always best to turn your phone off, or put it on silent, as you never know the moment your phone is going to ring.
When traveling and if you are on-board an aircraft, you will be required to turn off your phone. This is because electronics devices may interfere with the aircrafts avionics. Thus, it is a requirement to turn of your phone for safety reasons. However, for extremely long flights, airline companies allow cell phone usage at a certain time, if you really need to make a phone call, use this time allotted if necessary.
When i am at church, every week without fail someones phone will ring. It is very annoying, especially when the minister is speaking, and it just upsets the whole balance of things. In a place of worship, a cell phone should always be switched off. No matter how many times it happens in church, the following week, the same thing happens again, and its not uncommon for 3 or 4 people in the congregation’s phones to go off during the service in church.
We all love our cell phones, and always keep them close by us in case someone calls us or we ned to make a call. We update our phones to the latest models, and price never seems to come into it. When the phone comes out, we have just got to have it. People are making a fortune selling these phones, and we are more than happy to the pay whatever the asking price is. Thats how much we think of cell phones in this day and age.
