A great piano player stays targeted his / her goals. They do not let anything deter them or slow them down or stop them from reaching their goals.
The key to staying targeted is knowing what you are pushing towards. They aren’t just hoping that one day they are going to be great. They make plans to be great regardless of what, and then they take to obligatory measures to achieve that goal.
Some days might be hard and some day they may even feel just like giving up. The difference between a mean piano player and great piano is the great piano player does not give up. They continue to progress, bad.
To them this isn’t just a hobby that you can come to when you wish to fool around. They practice each day and till they are getting it right. They keep practicing till they can do what they are practicing well. Even if it isn’t making you perfect, if you do it enough you can get real close.
It has to be nurtured in order to blossom. Someone that isn’t a gifted piano player but practices frequently can become better than someone that does not practice at all but is terribly gifted.
A great piano player is a student of his / her instrument. They not only learn the way to do different methods on the piano but they also learn why they do what they do.
The things that ordinary piano players just overlook, great piano player learn how to do these things. Great piano players are those few people who decide to go the additional mile, or take the additional hour to truly learn their craft fully.
