These days, the majority of people rent movies on a regular basis. More often than not they wait for the DVD to come out, rather than seeing the film at the cinema. Here is a short list of some of most heavily rented DVD’s in Oct. 2008.

INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL: The Indiana Jones movies are back, after a long break. This is the latest film of the exploits of the infamous Indiana Jones. In this, the latest adventure, An older Indiana is pitted against post war Soviets. This time, it’s off top the amazone to search for some South American relics, and the powers they might possess.
THE LAZARUS PROJECT: Ben Garvey, once a bad boy criminal, has turned his life completely around. With a loving family, and steady paycheck, he seems to have found a better life. Then, he loses his job, and he finds himself heading back into the criminal world. People die during an attempted robbery, and he is convicted, and sentenced to die. He expects the lethal injection to kill him. Shockingly, he wakes up bewildered, and in a psych ward. He now struggles for his sanity, and his soul.
LINEWATCH: Michael Dixon (Cuba Gooding Jr.) is a respected boarder agent in New Mexico, and life seems to be good. But Michael’s past is coming back to haunt him. He was part of a violent Los Angeles gang, that he somehow got away from. When a chance encounter exposes his whereabouts to his old gang, he and his family are put in a potentially deadly situation. He has no choice but to take a chance, and work with the gang to bring a big drug shipment into the U.S.
THE INCREDIBLE HULK: This film tells us the tale of Dr. Bruce Banner, who has become the Incredible Hulk because of being hit by gamma rays. This feature film is about the comic character the Hulk. Key actors include Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth. Louis Leterrier directed this movie. The film genre is sci-fi/action.
DECEPTION: Jonathan McQuarry (ewan mcgregor) has a chance encounter with corporate lawyer Wyatt Bose. It is a meeting that will change his life. He is introduced to “The List”, which offers a secret world of sexual indescretions. However, he also gets caught up in a treacherous game of back stabbing and death.
JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH: Searching for his missing brother, a science professor explores caves in Iceland that leads him to the center of the earth. This is a new version of the original 1959 movie, which was based on the brilliant book by highly acclaimed author Jules Verne. Cast includes Brendan Fraser, Josh Hutchinson, Anita Briem, and Seth Myers.
THE HAPPENING: Elliot Moore (Mark Wahlberb), along with his wife and some friends are all fleeing Philadelphia on a train. The northeastern U.S. has been thrown into chaos. People have been overwhelmed by some strange illness, and are commiting suicide. Will mankind find an answer, or are we approaching the finish of humans on Earth?
IRON MAN: Man of the town, arms builder, Tony Stark (played by Robert Downey Jr.) is captured by insurgent fighters in Afghanastan. He is instructed to build missiles for the insurgent group. He suffered a bad injury when his convoy was attacked, and has metal in his chest. To survive his injuries, and escape his captors, he creates a suit made of armor, that makes him super strong. We now have another super hero, Iron Man.
SPEED RACER: An anime-cartoon with a new twist. As you saw with The Flinstones, Speed Racer chages a cartoon into a feature film with actors. Young Speed Racer who loves racing. His goal is to win The Crucible, a huge racing event that his older brother lost his live in. With odds against him, and everything at risk, he joins forces with his arch rival Racer X, to attempt to take the title, and rescue the family racing business.
