Today, a lot of people rent films on a regular basis. Typically we all wait to rent the box office hits, in preference to seeing the film at the cinema. Here is a short list of some of most heavily rented DVD’s in Oct. 2008.

INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL: The Indiana Jones adventure continues, after a 19 year hiatus. This is the most recent movie in the Indiana Jones series. In this, the latest adventure, Indiana takes on the Russians. The Soviets are looking for the Crystal Skulls, and the secrets they carry.
THE LAZARUS PROJECT: Former criminal Ben Garvey seems to have gotten his act together. With a stable home, and steady paycheck, things are pretty darn good. Then, he unexplicably loses his steady paycheck, and he finds himself heading back into the criminal world. This goes terribly wrong, and he is convicted, and sentenced to die. He is sent to die. To his surprise, he wakes up bewildered, and in an insane asylum. He now fights for his sanity, and his soul.
LINEWATCH: Well likes Michael Dixon is a boarder man in New Mexico, and life seems to be good. Eventually, his past is coming back to haunt him. A long time ago, he was in a violent Los Angeles gang, but he had the courage to leave. When simple bad luck shows where he lives to his old gang leader, he and his family are in a dangerous situation. He has no choice but to take a chance, and work with the gang to move illegal drugs into the country.
THE INCREDIBLE HULK: This feature film tells a story about Scientist Dr. Bruce Banner, who has become the green Hulk. The movie tells of the marvel comic hero, the Incredible Hulk. Edward Norton is the top star in this film. Louis Leterrier directs this film. The film style is sci-fi/action-thriller.
DECEPTION: Jonathan McQuarry, a bored and lonely corporate auditor, has an unusual meeting with corporate lawyer Wyatt Bose. It is a meeting that sends his life in a whole new direction. John is exposed to “The List”, where people find involvement in a sexual indescretions. But, he also finds himself in a scene full of deceipt, underhandidness and death.
JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH: On a quest to find his lost brother, a science professor goes on a mission that puts him on a journey to the center of earth. This is a remake of the 1959 production, that was formed from the classic work by renowned author Jules Verne. This sci-fi adventure stars Brendan Fraser, and Anita Briem.
THE HAPPENING: Elliot Moore (Mark Wahlberb), along with his wife and some friends are escaping Philadelphia by train. Philadelphia has been thrown into chaos. Many people are being overcome by an unusual force, and are commiting suicide. Can we overcome this problem, or is this the end of the human race?
IRON MAN: Playboy, engineer genius, Tony Stark (played by Robert Downey Jr.) is taken hostage by Afghan fighters. They command him to create weapon systems for the insurgent group. He suffered a bad injury while he was being captured, and has shrapnel stuck in his chest. To overcome his wound, and break away from his enemies, he creates a suit made of armor, that give him incredible strength and defense. We have a new comic book super hero on the scene.
SPEED RACER: The 1990’s television cartoon with a new twist. Just like The Flinstones, Speed Racer is an animation changed into a feature film with actors. Born into the family business, Speed Racer is a young man who loves racing. His goal is to win The Crucible, one of the biggest rally races that his older brother had died racing in. With the odds stacked against him, and his families business at stake, he suprisingly teams up with his former adversary Racer X, to try to win The Crucible, so the family business won’t go under.
