Guys, don’t think that you’re the only ones who have a tough time when Valentine’s Day comes around. If anything, girls got the short straw! Think about it. Guys just go out and visit the nearest flower, jewelry, or chocolate store, while women have no idea what to get their man. But it’s not such a bad thing, come to think of it. At least it’s an excuse to shop!
Here are the some choices for your guy this Valentines Day:
Chocolate. Whoever said that giving chocolates is purely the man’s prerogative? Chocolates are for everyone! If you browse through catalogs of most chocolate shops, they even have special blends for guys. You can’t go wrong with this natural aphrodisiac.
Watches. Steel wristwatches are always classy and can be used on various occasions. You can pick your guy something practical; a model perfect for his everyday grind. Or you can go for the dress watches; show pieces for the more formal occasion. Think James Bond.
Sleepwear. Here’s the fun thing about deciding to buy your man sleepwear for Valentines Day: you can pick something for him to wear or something for you! Pajamas for him make good gift sets; it’s intimate and thoughtful. Sexy lingerie (with you in it!) is even better. Presenting lingerie as a gift has the makings of a really good surprise.
Electronics. Guys love being tech-savvy. Whether it’s to listen to music, play games or communicate with buddies, men appreciate quality hardware. If you can afford to splurge, get him the latest gadget; maybe a new phone or a camera. If you’re on a budget, an accessory to one of his favorite toys is also a good idea. You can get him that top notch earphones for when he’s online playing RPGs, or a speaker for his PSP. That should make him enjoy his down time even better.
Basket of Goodies! Food is always a sweet offering and a lot of specialty shops offer sampler baskets of different treats. Think smorgasbord of cookies, junk food, pastry, cheese, meats, coffee and wine. Remember, it’s your job to keep your man well-fed!
Go sporty. Take a trip and try out a new sport together. Maybe go bungee jumping, kayaking or mountain climbing. It’s a perfect way to de-stress plus you two can get to spend quality time together. If you both are not the active type, you can just buy two tickets to his favorite game and watch together.
Spend the day doing nothing. This is a great present to give your guy because it gives both of you the chance to relax, unwind, and de-stress. Pamper your man (just this once) by giving him breakfast in bed, a shoulder rub, and more kisses and hugs than usual. Remember, a well-rested guy will be more than willing to return the favor.
Personalize. You can use your talents to give him something special for Valentine’s Day. You can paint his image on a mug, or make a scrapbook of your life together. Use your imagination.
Indulge, Indulge, Indulge. Nothing says I love you to your man other than giving into his little pet hobbies and giving him something that’s related to that. If he’s into basketball, give him tickets to the next hot game. If he’s into books, the newest hit novel, or an old one he’s been looking for would be a great gift. A guy would love nothing more than to have his likes valued during Valentine’s!
