Most people who are part of the internet marketing scene know who Mike Dillard is, but for those of you who don’t, he is the creator of Magnetic Sponsoring, Black Belt Recruiting and MLM Traffic Formula. These are the top training tools out there to help a person become successful in network marketing. So is it any wonder that many people would love to be Mike Dillard!
If you are not in the network marketing business, then go ahead and replace Mike’s name with a top business person that you admire in the same field you are in. I am sure that we would end up with a long list of very successful people in numerous different lines of business.
However, for the sake of this exercise, let’s just assume that we all want to be Mike Dillard. The first question that comes to mind, is why would we want be be someone other than the person we are? What is there about this person, that would make us willing to give up our own identity, so that we could be him? The obvious answer is that he is at the top of his game, highly successful, well respected, liked by everyone and to cap it off, he is making a bundle of money.
But let’s just imagine for a moment if we were all clones of Mike Dillard. No disrespect to Mike, but what an absolutely boring world that would be. We as humans thrive on variety in all aspects of our lives. Our favorite food might be lobster, but don’t you think that you would get pretty sick of it, if that was the only food for you to eat.
When we examine this a little further, we find that it’s not really Mike Dillard that we want to be. No, we don’t want to be him….we want to have what he has!! I think we all know however, that life is not a free ride, we all have to walk our own walk and no one is going to do it for us.
The best part is that we can continue to be ourselves and still have what Mike has. How is this possible? It’s possible because the people that we admire are usually more than willing to share their experiences and knowledge with the rest of the World. Sometimes there may be a cost to acquiring this knowledge but quite often they give a lot of information away free of charge. They enjoy giving back to society. Just do a little research and you will find a wealth of information about these people. Study them and find out what they did to reach their goals.
They can’t do it for you, but they can show you the way!
It has been said that there are numerous people out there just waiting to meet us. We all know that we are attracted to certain people and not to others. That is because we are not all on the same ‘wavelength’, and that’s a good thing. We are going to be the person that some individual really relates to. Just imagine you and Mike standing side by side and the person chooses you over Mike.
So don’t waste time wishing that you were somebody else. Develop your own unique identity and people will be drawn to you, because you will strike a chord with them. Yes, go ahead and learn from all these successful people — learn their methods and what caused them to achieve their successes and integrate that into your own life.
There is absolutely enough of everything to go around in this world. There is no scarcity. Go ahead, stake our your territory and claim your well deserved ‘piece of the pie’.
