“You don’t need to own anything to feel abundant; although if you feel abundant consistently, things will almost certainly come to you. Abundance comes only to those who already have it. It sounds almost unfair — but of course it isn’t, it is a Universal Law. Both abundance and scarcity are inner states that manifest as your reality.” — Eckhart Tolle
Does this quote from Eckhart Tolle have anything to do with becoming a successful Internet marketer? Absolutely! You may feel that I’m starting to get all too Spiritual/Mystical, but just hear me out and you can decide for yourself. In reality, developing a successful Internet Marketing business is going to prove to be more art than a science. Most that attempt to do so find themselves developing a host of new skills (or “retrofitting” skills developed off-line) because in the beginning they usually lack the money needed to out-source. It is normal for this process to take some time, sustained effort, and especially a lot of patience as you’re sure to make some blunders. Your attitude in this process becomes a critical component.
Few actually fail as Internet Marketers, most simply quit before they’ve even begun. The marketing of business opportunities on the Internet is usually done so in a way that is certain to create unreal expectations. I’m not saying people don’t make money; you can — and if you stick with it — certainly will. Perhaps even get rich through your Internet Business! But it won’t happen just by by enrolling in some program and sitting on your butt doing nothing. You’ll soon discover that there is more to be done than the hype that got you all excited led you to believe. At this stage of the game you have two paths: Quit (and tell yourself — and everyone else you know — that you were “scammed”), or if you have a burning desire to experience success, dig in, learn and begin to take action.
To become a successful Internet Marketer, you need to nurture a mind-set of abundance; an expectation of success. The nature of this business requires resilience, creativity, tenacity and flexibility — all traits that are stunted and stalled by a negative, stressed-out attitude. Also, developing relationships and joint ventures with other successful Internet Entrepreneurs is another key aspect to experiencing success Online. This will require that you are — or become — the type of person that attracts people to you. No one — especially successful Internet Business Professionals — wants to associate with downer personalities. Having an Attitude of Abundance and an Expectation of Success is the Foundation to Experiencing Success as on the Internet (as well as life in general for that matter).
