But, have you ever really stopped to wonder how plasma TVs really work? Well, read on to find out

How Does The Plasma Television Works?

Plasma televisions are composed of plasma gas that is a combination of Neon and Xenon Gas. These gases are located in very small cells or pixels across the screen of the television. The numerous sub pixels and the interiors of the many pixels are phosphor coated. Every pixel can be divided into three sub-pixels that represent a primary color. These pixels are placed between two panes of glass.

An electrode is connected to each plate; these electrodes run the entire length of the glass plates, which forms a grid on both plates. The electrodes are connected to a computer that emits a current to the electrode on the corresponding position on the grid to charge the gases in the pixels. This would cause the gases to ionize, which would ultimately cause the gases to produce an ultraviolet ray.

This ray would then cause the phosphor coated pixels to glow with the right color. When all the pixels are lit up at the same time, they make a clear, smooth image on the screen.

The plasma TV is made using a totally new technology when you compare it to a standard CRT TV; plasma gives you an image that is brighter and sharper. Plasma TV is capable of producing more than sixteen million possible colors, along with the high resolution. Unlimited color possibilities will enhance your plasma viewing experience.

By giving the meaning of sitting in front of the TV a new definition the plasma television is making its mark in the marketplace. There is no longer any such thing as having to sit in a best spot for viewing due to the fact that a quality picture can be viewed at 45 degrees. You may be shocked to hear that you can even get a top quality picture at 160 degrees with the plasma television.
