Bad Breath Cure Share/Save/Bookmark

Bad breath or halitosis is a sign post for something that could be seriously wrong. Check with your dentist. Find out if you have a case of gingivitis or periodontal disease. There are a lot of bad breath treatments out there but I choose bad breath strips. This is what I learned.

When I was away at college I learned, among other things, that just rinsing and brushing was not enough for me. I was really devastated when my mom greeted me at the door of our family home with, “Wow what did you eat?” Her delivery needed improvement but I got the message.

I was devastated. Smelling bad anywhere on your person is just plain gross. I had just seen my boyfriend to say our weekend goodbyes. Although I had brushed, flossed and rinsed, I could have used a good breath strip to freshen up before saying goodbye. I still think that my coffee, cigarette and dieting habits contributed to my breath problems and to the ultimate demise of my college love life. Perhaps a good breath strip could have saved our relationship.

Once we all agreed that I had chronic bad breath I went on a jihad. I bought almost every product known to man for bad breath. I never went very far from my inventory of mints, sprays and rinses. I found that the breath strip is the answer for me over all other treatments.

Gum looses its flavor relatively quickly and gum is not appropriate during all occasions. You can’t gnaw on gum during a dinner date. You can, however, quickly freshen up your mouth with a breath strip in any situation. Gum is also a potential enemy for dieters. The constant hammering is so good for your jaw either.

Mints do fair any better for a permanent bad breath remedy. Mints also have the dreaded calories. And they can take too long to melt in your mouth to cure the situation.

I had a hard time with breath sprays as well. First of all, there is a stigma about using a breath spray in public that is downright cheesy. You also have to have a v e r y good aim. I remember being in church and once and getting the guy behind right in the left eye ball.

A breath strip is discreet and socially acceptable and will be my mouth freshening choice from now on to get rid of bad breath. Don’t forget to check for a more serious problem like gingivitis or gum disease.
